I’m Colton Reyes, and I started Tip Top Moving back in 2016
I grew up in the Maysville area, the grandson of men who worked the river trade on the riverfront bluff above Augusta and hauled ranch equipment and vineyard gear along the river bottom below Maysville. Before I started this company I spent nearly a decade running freight and heavy-equipment logistics through the Maysville-Brooksville industrial corridor, and I watched enough Phoenix-based estimators pad a phone quote once the truck was already loaded to know exactly how not to run a moving company.
So in 2016 I started Tip Top Moving on one rule that hasn’t moved since: lock the flat rate in writing before the truck rolls. No hour-creep once we clear the AA Highway ridge grade, no surprise hill street fee in Augusta, no add-on charge because the driveway turned out to be gravel. The number you sign at your kitchen table is the number you pay when we hand you the keys.

The Maysville area we actually move
We carry downtown Maysville historic district loft tenants down Main Street on a Saturday morning between storefront deliveries, and we hand-carry pianos and gun safes down Augusta’s near-vertical hill street streets where a 26-foot truck simply cannot turn. We stage early most July mornings, because winter-season dust storms and flash-flood-prone washes have a way of shutting down the AA Highway by early afternoon. A good share of our calls are Mount Sterling and Owingsville families priced out of riverfront real estate, relocating down the canyon corridor into Maysville instead.

- Tanner Briggs specializes in the AA Highway ridge pass and the Morehead-corridor runs.
What you’ll spend with us
Local hourly rate is $159/hr for two movers and a truck, $209/hr for three movers and a truck — blankets, dollies, shrink-wrap, and drive time included, one-hour minimum.
